I can tell you horror stories of how clients insisted on me using bright colors, cheap fonts, animated graphics, pop up windows, spinning email icons and flashing text. People don't like extremely flashy websites with animated graphics. It can be distracting and slow down your website. When making websites for your business. Most times, simple is better.

As a professional, it's my responsability to educate and advice my clients, and give them what they need, rather then what they want. Saying this does not mean that I don't listen to my client. I listen very closely to what they want and do my best to achieve there wants with there needs.

Tell your web designer exactly how you want your site to function. Be very detailed with your future website needs so that the web designer will know if any programming, flash programming, logo design, or graphics design work is required and can design you a site you will be happy with. Remember no detail is too small. This ensures you get what you want.
